We have had some requests for lunch and snack ideas. Here are some our educators recommend. We will add to the list as we get more ideas from our families.
-cheese cut into cubes, sticks, or slices
-yogurt (there are a variety of ways yogurt is sold. You can get small individual containers, or tubes to squeeze, or you can buy a bigger container and put just enough for a serving in a reusable container. Whatever you & he like best.
-crackers/graham crackers/ goldfish crackers
-veggies (raw cucumbers, raw peppers, snap peas or shelled peas, steamed or shredded carrots are some popular ones)
-fruit-berries,apples, bananas, oranges, melon, grapes are popular.
-muffins, tortilla, bannock, biscuit, naan bread, bread & butter, wow butter or sun butter (made from sunflower seeds and is peanut free)
-bear paws or nut free granola bars
-bagel and cream cheese
-fruit bars, fruit cups, fruit snacks
-leftover pancakes or waffles with or without honey or syrup
-eggs prepared however you like
-oatmeal -prepare at home and send in a reheatable container
-dinner leftovers cut in bite sized pieces
